I love the thrill of the hunt. Finding what’s been hidden, what’s been meant to be found.
I do a fair bit of thrift shopping and (in-season) garage sale-ing. It fits my temperament well, because I try to:
- Spend wisely
- Re-purpose and prevent useful things from clogging up our landfills
- Appreciate unconventional, antique or off-beat things
- Limit buying from countries like China because of their poor labor and environmental laws
Plus, it’s fun!
I recently went on a spree at the local Goodwill on one of their half-price days. Guess what I paid for the following dozen items…
And, I totally saved the best for last…
So … what was the total cost?
Not too shabby, right? If you, too, enjoy the hunt, please let me know! I’d love to learn what you’ve discovered and your secrets to finding the best bargains!
